1. ARIA SOPRANO
Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen!
Exult God in all lands!
Was der Himmel und die Welt
an Geschöpfen in sich hält,
Whatever creatures be found
in the sky or the world
müssen dessen Ruhm erhöhen,
must lift up their praise
und wir wollen unserm Gott
gleichfalls itzt ein Opfer bringen,
and we likewise will now bring
our God an offering
daß er uns in Kreuz und Not
allezeit hat beigestanden.
for he has always stood beside us
in cross and agony.

2. RECITATIVO SOPRANO
Wir beten zu dem Tempel an,
We worship at the temple
da Gottes Ehre wohnet,
     where God’s glory resides,
da dessen Treu, so täglich neu,
where his devotion, so new each day,
mit lauter Segen lohnet.
is paid in pure blessing.
Wir preisen, was er an uns hat getan.
     We praise what he has done for us.
Muß gleich der schwache Mund von seinen Wundern lallen,
     Even if a feeble tongue prattles on about his wonders,
so kann ein schlechtes Lob ihm dennoch wohlgefallen.
     so, may imperfect praise still be pleasing to him.

3. ARIA SOPRANO
Höchster, mache deine Güte
ferner alle Morgen neu.
     Most High, renew your goodness
further every morning.
So soll vor die Vatertreu
auch ein dankbares Gemüte
durch ein frommes Leben weisen,
So, the thankful soul too shall demonstrate
a pious life, for fatherly devotion,
daß wir deine Kinder heißen.
     that we are called your children.

4. CORALE SOPRANO
Sei Lob und Preis mit Ehren
     Laud and praise with honor be
Gott Vater, Sohn, Heiligem Geist!
     to God the Father, Son and Holy Ghost!
Der woll in uns vermehren,
     Who will increase in us
was er uns aus Gnaden verheißt,
     what he promised us out of grace,
daß wir ihm fest vertrauen,
     that we might firmly trust him,
gänzlich uns lass’n auf ihn,
     completely relying on him,
von Herzen auf ihn bauen,
     sincerely building upon him,
daß uns’r Herz, Mut und Sinn
     that our heart, valor and mind
ihm festiglich anhangen;
     firmly espouse to him;
drauf singen wir zur Stund:
     to this we sing this hour:
Amen, wir werdn’s erlangen,
     Amen, we will attain this,
glaub’n wir aus Herzensgrund.
     we believe from the depths of our hearts.
